Results of the First Digital Worship Sunday

After completing our first Integration Sunday and reviewing the collected feedback, Holy Innocents' is proud to call this project a success!  Thanks to all our participants for your open mindedness and enthusiasm. We had more than a third of our congregation participating in the digital format for worship services!  We collected 35 real time prayer requests from members in the sanctuary, friends off site, members away at the women's retreat, and even some from the kids worship sent as part of their prayers.

If you missed anything, or want to watch it again (or share it), almost all the videos and presentations are posted here.  You can watch and interact with what you'd like, then scroll down to see some of the great comments we received during and after the service.  At the bottom, look for what's coming up next in the future for this format!

Adult Forum Presentation

Given by Rachel Schnabel & Garland Pollard, this presentation looked at how we currently use technology in a secular capacity, possibilities for that use to further interconnected relationships and ministry, diocesan tech goals, and some cool projects that push the boundaries of what the church can do.  Click the right arrow to go through each piece at your own pace, watch the videos, and enjoy.

Comments and Feedback

The sermon video was/is amazing! The witness and faithfulness and bravery of our youth are AWESOME!
I like how people can come up and read the "lessons" or readings.
I like how you can SAVE THE TREES! Instead of using paper, you can use the technology you have sitting around your house and bring a GOOD use to it.
This is a great initiative that we MUST make work if we are going to continue to serve the people of God well into the 21st century.
Blessings,
Fr. Mark
Wow, the paper we could save!
Loved having access on our devices.  It was very user friendly. This will be very beneficial in the future if we keep it up.
Loved it!!!
Ran smooth, easy to track!
Once it's learned, this is a wonderful way to follow the service. We may need charging stations on the pews!
Once I got used to the setup, I thought it was useful. Let's try it again.
Liked it.  Saves $ and trees.
Awesome!  Loved not having to search for songs in the hymnal.
Quite an adventure.  Did not take away from my normal worship experience. Thank you to all our trailblazer's guides.
I loved it. It was fun to be a part of youth Sunday using the technology that our youth use today.
Really good experience was easy to use and something I hope will be used again
Loved it!  My only suggestion would be to somehow make the visual presentations larger and fill the available wall space. It would be so much easier to see from the back of the church.
Great idea, loved using my device to follow the service!
I thought that it was very good, but once all get use to it will be easier to use.

Next Steps

We'll be offering this format again regularly, and working to make and train a sustainable team for this endeavor.

If you have any questions or thoughts on this project, please feel free to contact by email.  It is planned to create a resource for other communities to learn this format for use in their services, so stay tuned or contact us with questions in the mean time.
